AVID Showcase! Our students worked incredibly hard and were excited to share their learning and accomplishments with the school! 🎉 On display was a variety of student work highlighting growth in writing, note-taking, and project-based learning. Each grade focused on a unique theme:

• 8th Grade: Personal projects representing their true selves

April is the Month of the Military Family in Florida! Students and staff were asked to “Purple Up!” today, April 15, 2026, by wearing purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children. Purple was chosen because it is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military. It is a combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine Corps red, Space Force blue and Navy blue. Did you purple up? Our 6th/7th grade STEAM team earned second place at the Lake County Steam Bowl! Way to represent TMS! ❤️🤍💙
On Friday, our Jazz Band performed at the Orange Blossom Jazz Festival! All of the students had an amazing time and performed incredibly well on stage. Following their performance, the band participated in a clinic with one of the festival judges, where students received valuable feedback and tips to help them continue growing as musicians. We are very proud of their hard work, professionalism, and outstanding representation of our school!

This year, we invite you to “Purple Up!” on April 15, 2026, by wearing purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children. Purple was chosen because it is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military. It is a combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine Corps red, Space Force blue and Navy blue. Students and staff in schools across Florida are encouraged to participate in this celebration of the courage of military families and to honor their hard work.

If your child is planning to attend the 8th Grade Field Trip to Universal Studios on May 26, please note that permission slips and payment are due by Friday, April 17.
Important:
• Have your child bring both signed permission slips and the money to Mrs. Sadlemire in Room 902
• There will be no exceptions to the due date.
• The trip is non-refundable.
• Students MUST meet behavior and grade requirements.
