🌸 A Heartfelt Mother’s Day Surprise at Leesburg Elementary! 🌸 We’re excited to share this special video featuring our Leesburg Elementary students, who got an early start on Mother’s Day weekend thanks to the incredible efforts of community volunteers! 💕✨ Volunteers lovingly restored gently used jewelry and transformed it into a beautiful “store” where students could pick out the perfect gifts for their mothers. The smiles, excitement, and pride on these kids’ faces say it all — they couldn’t wait to surprise the amazing moms in their lives! 👏 Thank you to our generous community members for making this memorable experience possible and helping our students celebrate the love and appreciation they have for their families. And thank you LakeFront TV for creating the video and sharing this good-news story! 🎥 Watch the video below to see the joy in action! 💖 #LeesburgElementary #MothersDay #CommunityLove #StudentSmiles

Please support Leesburg Elementary Leadership Academy (LELA) with our Proficiency Carnival Wish List. Any student who scores proficient (grade level) on at least one of his/her state assessments will be invited to the carnival. The carnival will be held during school hours on May 22nd. Our students have worked hard and deserve this day of fun! The wish list consists of games, prizes, and decorations. Please share the list with your contacts. The more support we have, the better the event for our students! If you would like to donate something directly that is on the list or that we have not thought of, we welcome your gift. Items ordered from the Amazon wish list will be delivered directly to LELA. If you have a carnival game that we can borrow, that would be great, too! We appreciate any and all support that our community provides! If you have questions, you may reach out to Deborah Harris, Assistant Principal, at harrisd2@lake.k12.fl.us.

📦 Time to Turn Them In!
Chromebook Collection is Coming!
The end of the school year is right around the corner, and it’s time to get those Chromebooks ready for return. Here’s what you need to know to make the process quick and smooth:
✅ What to Do Before You Turn In Your Device
Remove all stickers and decorations
➤ Don’t forget to clean off any sticky residue!
➤ A safe way to clean: use a slightly damp cloth (water only) — no chemicals or sprays!
➤ Check that your device is fully charged (100%)
➤ Turn in your charger
➤ Must include both parts: the brick and the cable!
➤ Report damage early
➤ If your device isn’t working or is damaged, turn it in now — don’t wait for collection day!
➤ Ask questions?
➤ See your school’s Media Specialist for help.
